Fall Food Drive | Oct. 20 - Dec. 31

The holidays are straight ahead, and many of our neighbors here in Grand Rapids are hungry, alone and facing the grim prospect of a “homeless” holiday season. You can help by supporting our annual Fall Food Drive. Look for our ad and drop-off locations in The Press on Thursday, October 15. The drive will run from October 20 through December 31. Our goal is to receive 50,000 pounds of food.

If you aren’t able to bring your donations of food in to the Mission, please consider making a donation of $50, to help fill our barrels. Your donation will help feed the hungry, homeless and hurting that use our Food Pantry.

Food or heat? Fruit or medicine? Underemployment, illness, and substandard housing results in choosing between necessities like these. Mel Trotter Ministries' Food Pantry can help. But we need your help! Will you fill a barrel with the food items listed below to restock our shelves? Drop off donations at any of these Biggby Coffee, Chemical Bank, or Mel Trotter Thrift Stores locations

Encourage your workplace, school, or church to participate!
Collection barrels and food pick-up are available. Contact Sara Jeffries at sarajeffries@meltrotter.org or 616-588-8744.

Special thanks to our sponsors, The Grand Rapids Press, Chemical Bank, and Biggby Coffee for helping to make this worthwhile event possible. For more information about this year’s Fall Food Drive, call 616-588-8744.
