The Need

The face of homelessness today looks drastically different from when Mel Trotter Ministries was founded in Grand Rapids nearly 120 years ago. Families, unaccompanied youth, and single women are now the fastest-growing segments of homelessness in our community.

Youth

Relationships are crucial to helping people find and stay in stable housing. We are passionate about coming alongside each person, hearing their story, loving them with the compassion of Jesus Christ and connecting them with resources. Whether it’s at MTM, or another like-minded organization, working together to address homelessness is the only way to succeed.
