Heartside Ministry has education and advocacy services for neighbors who want to improve their circumstances and become more self-sufficient. In the classroom, we match students with a tutor to customize their learning experience in the way that they learn best. GED classes allow neighbors to get their high school equivalence degree so more job opportunities become available to them.

In an effort to meet the needs of more neighbors, our education extends beyond the classroom. Advocacy programs touch on many areas ranging from how to vote to effective ways to stand up for a person’s rights.

Our advocacy programs help neighbors with a whole range of challenges from how to vote to how to access local and state services. We also offer support groups help neighbors dealing with addictions and recovery.

”Heartside Ministry helps you change your mindset and how you look at everything — the world, people, yourself, school. It’s one of those programs where you can create yourself all over again.”
