GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Homelessness is a growing problem in West Michigan. The truth is, this problem is too big for one person or organization to solve. The number of women and children experiencing homelessness is on the rise, too. Together we can overcome homelessness in Grand Rapids.

Last year alone, 2,400 unique homeless individuals went to Mel Trotter Ministries to seek help. Many people want to help solve the issue, but feel there's no way they can make an impact.

One local donor supports by donating just 25-cents each week. That's 25-cents more than they would've had without her contribution. Everyone can help.

On September 19th, Mel Trotter Ministries held their annual 'Season of Hope' gala at the JW Marriott to raise awareness and crucial funds. The event was a success, but there's still work that needs to be done.

Homelessness doesn't discriminate, and knows no boundaries. For more information on how you can learn more, or help, visit
