Mel Trotter Ministries partners to reach homeless neighbors during heat wave
As temperatures rise through the end of this week and into the weekend, Mel Trotter Ministries is partnering with other agencies that are serving people experiencing homelessness to make sure anyone who is ready to accept help has a safe place to get out of the heat. Partners include Pine Rest Street Reach, GRPD, the Heartside Neighborhood Collaboration Project and others.

Just one day in the heat can be life threatening
Many agencies in greater Grand Rapids offer cooling centers for those who have no place to go. Mel Trotter Ministries has emergency shelter at night and a safe space during the day for men and women to get out of the elements, experience compassion and get access to resources that will help them move out of homelessness.
