Fifth Third Bank Financial Empowerment Mobile® Driving Financial Assistance into the Community
The Fifth Third Financial Empowerment Mobile (eBus) is coming to West Michigan for a Financial Empowerment and Homeownership tour July 1 – July 19. The eBus will partner with community organizations that provide financial education, homeownership counseling and credit counseling services to empower our community members.
Fifth Third’s Financial Empowerment Mobile serves as a mobile classroom equipped with 12 desktop computer stations and Wi-Fi capabilities. Clients are greeted by Fifth Third Bank employee volunteers and community partner representatives when they arrive on the bus. Individuals are assisted with reviewing credit reports and scores, one-on-one credit counseling, interactive financial education modules, homebuyer education tools, job search assistance, online account opening, and loan referral services.
The Bank’s financial empowerment mobile is part of the Bank’s Lives Improved through Financial Empowerment program and part of the $32B community commitment that focuses on making a positive impact across its 10-state footprint in the areas of home mortgage, small business and community development lending and investments.
“We are committed to empowering our community through financial education and access to financial products and services,” said Tom Welch, Fifth Third regional president. “The eBus allows us to serve people where they live and work, and provide the knowledge and tools to help take control of their financial futures.”
