Loneliness epidemic

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) - Nearly half of Americans report that they sometimes or always feel alone according to the publication Psychology Today. And there’s a name for it: The loneliness epidemic. Here a Mel Trotter Ministries, we’ve found that homelessness often makes people feel even more alone and isolated because society views our guests differently for their housing status. We’ve seen positive relationships can help people out of their crisis, into a more connected faith in Jesus Christ and out of homelessness for good.

After the holidays, financial giving goes down and volunteerism declines, but our homeless neighbors need your love and encouragement all year long. Don’t forget about them after your Christmas spirit has worn off. Make a new year’s resolution to continue your support through the various ways offered at Mel Trotter Ministries.
