Volunteers will help serve over 500 meals. Each day at Mel Trotter Ministries begins with the dedication of our kitchen team and volunteers, who serve over 500 nutritious meals to our guests. Our workforce development class will gather to learn new skills. Education and skill-building are at the heart of our mission. Today, our workforce development class will meet, offering guests the opportunity to gain valuable skills that will help them secure stable employment and build a brighter future.

The diversion team will help families at risk of experiencing homelessness. Our diversion team will visit local schools to connect with families who are at risk, providing support and resources to keep them housed and stable. By going upstream, we can prevent homelessness before it begins.

Case managers will sit down with guests and help them take steps forward. Personalized support is crucial for making meaningful progress. Our case managers will meet one on one with guests, helping them develop a plan to overcome barriers and achieve their goals.

The Friendship Circle will come together for fellowship, time around the Word, and prayer. Christ is at the center of everything we do and Friendship Circles help foster a sense of hope and community for our guests.

Guests will meet for art class to express themselves in a safe and healing place. Creativity is powerful for healing. Our art class offers a safe space for guests to express themselves, process their experiences, and find peace through artistic expression.

The medical clinic will be open for guests to stop by and see a nurse. Access to health care is a fundamental need. Our medical clinic will be open, providing guests with the opportunity to receive medical attention and support from our compassionate nursing staff.

The outreach team will be out in the community with the Mobile Shower Unit providing showers and other resources. Personal hygiene is vital for dignity and health. Our outreach team and Mobile Shower Unit will be out in the community, offering showers and essential resources to those in need.

The housing team will work with guests to find a permanent and stable home. Securing permanent housing is the goal for many of our guests. Today, our housing team will be diligently working to connect guests with stable and permanent housing solutions, helping them take the final step towards independence.
