GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Mel Trotter Ministries is gearing up to celebrate its 125th anniversary on Monday, Feb. 24.
The nonprofit will be holding a “Donation Drop-Off Day” on Feb. 24 to help men, women and children who do not have stable housing and are in need of everyday items.
The faith-based organization is asking community members to participate in the anniversary by donating those items.
If you’re interested in donating, you can stop by Mel Trotter’s location at 225 Commerce Avenue SW.
For donations, you’re asked to go to the front entrance. You can pull up to the curb where a staff member or volunteer will meet you to collect the donation items.
“Your gifts will support our guests, ensuring they receive the care and resources they need,” said Mel Trotter Ministries in a statement.
You can stop by Mel Trotter Ministries between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Feb. 24.

– Men’s T-Shirts, Sizes S-3XL
– Underwear, Men, Women, Children Sizes
– Individually Wrapped Toothbrushes for Adults
– Antiperspirant Deodorant
– Tennis Shoes, Sizes 9-14
– Twin Sheets
– Shaving Cream & Razors
